Privacy Policy
OnlineMedicalRegistries.com (OMR) is committed to safeguarding the privacy of subscriber's personal information. Subscribers are given the ability to store, manage and access their advance directive (medical/health care proxy and power of attorney), emergency medical information (allergies, medications, immunizations and special conditions), medical insurance (Medicaid and Medicare) and "Care Community" contact information (proxy agents, family, friends, physicians, and care givers) online and to share that information in the event of an emergency with authenticated ER medical staff at a hospital accredited by the Joint Commission. OMR's privacy policies and practices are reviewed periodically to make sure that the latest technology is being used to protect your personal information. Any change in policy or practice will be posted on this page. OMR uses Google Checkout® and PayPal™ to provide its subscribers with a secure method of subscription and annual renewal fee payment, and OMR retains no credit card information.
OnlineMedicalRegistries.com has made every effort to ensure that information provided by a subscriber will not be accessible to anyone other than the subscriber or on a 'read only basis' to accredited health care providers.
The communication of all member information is protected with robust, industry-standard, 128-bit encryption. This provides secure protection for both information storage and credit card transactions. While on a secure page, an icon will appear to indicate that the page is "locked". All information is password-protected to prevent unauthorized use. The subscriber is responsible for maintaining the secrecy of his/her passwords. Passwords are stored in an encrypted form.
Other than the advance directive, emergency medical insurance and contact information that is provided by its subscribers, OnlineMedicalRegistries.com collects no information except that OMR does automatically collect and store certain administrative data (name and domain from which you access the Internet, IP address of computer you are using, the browser software and operating software you are using and date and time you access our site). This data helps system administration and product delivery. It also allows OMR to identify unauthorized visitors.
OnlineMedicalRegistries.com will not sell, rent, give, release to or share any information with any other person or entity for any purpose, even in aggregate form, without your specific opt-in consent. Unless required to do so by law or court order, OMR will not disclose your personally identifiable information without your permission. If OMR is required to release your personal information, OMR will notify you.
OMR will not use personal health information for target advertising.
If you have a Google Health profile linked to OMR, other than transmitting your profile to the Emergency Room, OMR does not read from, alter or save any part of your medical information stored with Google Health.
In the event a subscriber withdraws for any reason at any time or does not renew his/her subscription annually, all data will be purged from OMR's data storage.
